Migara Ramanayake is a Sri Lankan-born artist specialising in figure drawing and portraiture. With a firm and formal foundation in traditional drawing methods, Migara holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Curtin University in Perth, Western Australia. He has continued to refine his skills, developing a practice that bridges classical techniques and contemporary artistic exploration. In addition to his professional practice, Migara teaches at the Canning Art Centre and the South Perth Learning Centre and offers private tuition at his studio located at Goolugatup Heathcote Gallery and Museum in Applecross. His teaching focuses on helping students of all levels develop a deep understanding of form, structure, and tonal rendering, inspiring them to push the boundaries of their creativity.
