AMaGA Western Australia is the state branch of the national peak body representing museums and galleries Australia-wide. It is our vision to see Australia's museums and galleries financially supported, cherished, enjoyed and protected, ensuring their enduring value for present and future generations. Our offices are in Boorloo / Perth though our commitment is to representing collecting organisations and communities everywhere in WA. As a non-government, not-for-profit arts service body, we are the only organisation in WA dedicated to professional development, support, and advocacy for collecting institutions, with over 30 years of proven expertise delivering sustainable and culturally appropriate outcomes. Though our work is often "behind-the-scenes" with the people who work in these organisations, you can see the benefits via Collections WA, an online platform showcasing the collections and histories held in WA's regional museums, galleries and community groups.
