Eeel is an object maker and prosthetics artist based in Boorloo (Perth). With a background in visual arts and film, Eeel creates unique pieces that draw inspiration from diverse sources, such as marine biology and cult cinema. Eeel combines techniques from prosthetics, jewellery and sculpture to hand craft original one-off or very small batch objects. Eeel wearables are made from cast resin, cast silicone, router cut and hand sanded acrylic, river pearls, horse hair and hand-cut brass, copper and silver. All Eeel packaging is plastic free and uses recycled, recyclable and compostable materials. Waste is minimised in the studio during the making process including using discarded core flute for mould boxes and acrylic off-cuts where possible. Eeel actively participates in local community-based conservation work and also donates 5% of all profits to Bush Heritage and WIRES.
