Worst Hits, presented by Perth Festival
In this new solo exhibition, Pascale Giorgi brings together a body of sculptural works formed through a process of remixing, reviving, and reassembling. Experiments, failures, leftovers of successes and half-baked ideas are mashed together to create sense from the detritus of the artist’s studio in a kind of anti-retrospective, a worst hits compilation.

Remanere is a collaborative project by Chloe Nolan (Boorloo/Naarm) and Jacob Sturgeon (Naarm) born from their shared experiences of burnout. The title derives from the Latin roots re (intensive force) and manere (to stay), reflecting the artists’ meditation on the pressures of perpetual arousal and anxiety under neo-liberal capitalism. The work destabilises motifs of hyperstimulation and info-sphere excess; pharmaceuticals, psychological quizzes, chemical compounds, and incorporates methods of play, novelty, and rumination as ways to explore labour, idleness, and creative rejuvenation.

What Mothers Carry is an exhibition that honours the unseen, unspoken, but deeply-felt journeys of women through conception, pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. It reflects on the duality of what we hold—joy and grief, strength and vulnerability, the weight of history and the promise of new life. The artworks explore the physical act of carrying; children in the womb; babies on the hip; stories passed through generations. They also aim to reveal the emotions and blessings inherited from the women before us. Through these narratives, the exhibition becomes a collective remembering, acknowledging how the endurance, resilience, and sacrifices of our mothers and grandmothers allow us to thrive in motherhood today. Emily Rose was the 2025 Noongar Artist Residency artist. This program and exhibition outcome is curated by Zali Morgan.
