Tues 20th June | 6:45-8pm | Free Event

Join Place Names Melville Project Coordinator, Noelene Mantellato, in an immersive experience showcasing stories from, and the methodology behind the Place Names process for Goolugatup Heathcote and Lowerlands.

City of Melville has been working in partnership with Community Arts Network(CAN) and Moodjar Consultancy delivering a community-led, creative model that decodes the ancient meaning embedded in Noongar placenames for sites located within the City of Melville including Goolugatup. The project aims to acknowledge shared meanings and reveal Aboriginal location names for sites across the City.
