Convergence

Swan River Print Studio

25 April - 18 May

Convergence represents the work of twelve printmakers from Swan River Print Studio, coming together at a particular point in time, a merging of ideas and processes.

Swan River Print Studio is an artist-run initiative located at Goolugatup Heathcote, with studios overlooking the Derbal Yerrigan/ Swan River. Founded in 2018, the studio now hosts two large historic presses, a 1950s etching press and an 1857 Columbian Press.

Created with the aim of fostering opportunities for printmakers to work in a professional studio environment, the studio enables artists to develop their fine art printmaking practices.Passionate about the experimental opportunities provided by printmaking, the group also seeks to promote knowledge and understanding of printmaking within the Perth creative community and beyond.

Convergence provides a snapshot of the diversity of techniques and inspiration that flourish within the studio, reflecting the different backgrounds and experiences of the members who make up the collective.

Featured artists: Aileen Hoath, Annemie McAuliffe, Bill Taylor, Claire Lawson, Dominique Coiffait, Harvey Mullen, Jo Darvall, Joy Lefroy, Katie Glaskin, Kylee Larsen, Mikaela Miller, Zali Morgan.
