Goolugatup Sounds returns Saturday, 26 July with another offering of moods and movements from some of Boorloo’s most beloved.

BLOOD KNOWS (aka Leigh Craft) emerged from a quiet curiosity ~ wondering what it’d be like to make music in solitude, with no plans to play live, no band to form ~ just writing and recording music for its own sake.

Boorloo-based makers Annika Moses and Elsa Bignell present a new performance work as their debut collaboration. Reaching towards each other from backgrounds in different mediums, Elsa predominantly in movement and visual arts, Annika predominantly in sound-based arts, their work integrates all three mediums with embodiment and relation as the central connectors. As two bodies, Elsa and Annika integrate experimental sound practices with improvised movement, using live vocal manipulation, looping, and sonic layering as time-based extensions of sculpture.

DJ Pex is a Serbian-born vinyl-only DJ known for his eclectic and genre-defying sets that traverse jazz, Latin, disco, house, techno, and world music. He specializes in rare and obscure records, often unearthed from the rich musical history of the former Yugoslavia. His performances are a journey through forgotten grooves and hidden gems, offering audiences a unique auditory experience that bridges cultures and eras.
